THE ASK:

With the rise of home offices and zoom backdrops at an all-time high, Zafira Rajan knew while purchasing her new family home in Gibsons, BC that she would want to dedicate a room for her copy writing business. The design brief for her new HQ: a serene and tranquil environment, a place to put her feet up when not at a desk, and an appealing backdrop for all those virtual hangs.

THE SOLVE:

In addition to sourcing new furniture for the space, filling the walls with functional focal points played a huge role in the over all design. Above the couch glass beakers filled with dried florals in hues of pinks, yellow, and creams hang as if they are floating mid air adding texture and depth to the space.

This book installation was created with multi-purpose in mind. Not only does it serve a function of housing an incredible collection of literature (some written by Zafira herself), it was also create as a visually appealing backdrop for when she hosts webinars, group-training, or client calls. The colours of the display were directly pulled from Zafira's digital brand book.

Throughout this project Ryleah could often be found on the ferry from Vancouver to Gibsons driving a sprinter van bursting at the seems with packages of new furniture and accessories. A project highlight: in true Sunshine Coast Fashion a bear was spotted in the front yard on install day.
